overview -
The Niagara Poverty Reduction Strategy (2024–2028) was developed to address the root causes of poverty and enhance the well-being of residents across the region. Guided by a diverse committee and shaped through extensive community engagement, the strategy focuses on eight priority areas, from housing and income to food security and mental health.
approach -
The design embraces a clean, accessible, and human-centered aesthetic. The concept of a “path” was used as a symbolic visual, representing the journey through the strategic priorities toward a more equitable future. Each section is supported by clear recommendations, data-driven visuals, and lived-experience narratives, with colour, typography, and iconography chosen for clarity, empathy, and inclusivity while meeting accessibility standards.
deliverables -
Printed and digital strategy documents, “at a glance” handout, visual assets for PowerPoint presentations, social media graphics, and other communication collateral.
